[OFFICIAL] Staff Application Format

  1. Staff Application Information


    All applications currently entered will need to be re done using the new format and the new rule set. Applications that are currently posted will be locked and ignored when proceeding with the new application format.

    Some exception may apply.​

    • Must be 12 years of age or older.

    • Must have at least 50 hours total on the server. (That’s about 7 hours a day for 7 days)

    • Must be and remain active on both the server and the forums.

    • Must have access to Skype and Discord. (Both are free)

    • Must have the ability to use Voice Communication.

    • Format must be followed. (No exceptions)

    The following requirements are set in place to ensure the staff being accepted into the team are mature, reasonable, and knowledgeable enough to positively affect the network. Exceptions are only to be authorized by admins. These requirements are able to be changed at anytime without notice so be sure to keep updated.

    Ranking System
    The following ranks are listed in hierarchical order.​

    Recruit | This is the starting stage of newly appointed staff members. Permission are limited and you are monitored closely for the duration of your time as a Recruit. Time may vary from case to case and those in this stage my not progress to Helper depending on their performance.

    Helper | Helper is the foundation of the staff team. Everyone had to start from Helper in order to get to where they are today. This is where you prove yourself and show other members that you are responsible, and keen to help the server grow.

    Moderator | This is the next step in the ladder for Helpers. This rank is achieved by going above and beyond what is asked of a Helper and showing your knowledge of the network surpasses that of a Helpers needs.

    Official | These are the most trusted among the general staff ranks. They have the most access to commands and may occasionally assist admins with their duties along with monitoring the other staff members.

    All following ranks are acquired via a very strict promotion system and are only given to the most trusted within the whole network therefore are not needed to be listed.

    Application Process
    The follow is a general guideline for how applications will be processed from start to finish.​

    PENDING | When you first post your application it then enters the pending stage. This is where it will stay until it it determined that the server is in need of new staff members.

    REVIEWING | Once it is decided that new staff members are needed all applications currently posted will then enter the reviewing stage. This is where admins and/or other appointed representatives will begin to read all applications making notes of ones believed to be staff team ready.

    INTERVIEW | This stage is quite simple. If you are believed to be staff team ready you will receive a post on you application stating your application has been accepted into the interview stage and we will request that you contact the staff member who makes the post. It is done this way to test ones responsibility by maintaining an active forums account and keeping up with their own post(s). While in this stage your application can still be denied if the staff member interviewing you feels that based on the questions asked and the answers given you will not benefit the team. If this happens the staff member will inform you that you have been denied along with offering feedback as to why and then they will update their post on your application to “Denied”.

    ACCEPTANCE | Probably self explanatory. If you make it through the interview stage with answers deemed acceptable by the interviewer you will be informed of your acceptance and will receive the Recruit rank in game. A list of permissions will be provided to you that list commands you have access to and what they do with examples included. Once this is complete the interviewer will update their post on your application to “Accepted” and there we go. You’re a staff member on Cyclone Network. Congratulations!

    Community Involvement
    Feedback from others is encouraged​

    If you see yourself looking for something to do. Jump onto the forums and give a browse to some players applications.Offer some constructive criticism to better their application because who knows, maybe staff pay attention to this kind of stuff when looking for new staff members who are HELPFUL to other players. While doing this. Try to ensure your comments are helpful and not just rude as this may have the opposite effect than the one you’re aiming for.

    Do not, I repeat do not, do any of the following things.​

    - Do NOT over user colour to you application. Some colour being used to highlight important information is acceptable. Using colours like crazy for every question and answer is not okay.

    - Do NOT include any pictures in your application unless specifically requested by an admin. Any pictures of videos will be removed and will impact your chances negatively to being accepted into the interview stage.

    - Do NOT have arguments in the comment section. This is not the place for that and is not professional in the slightest to have an argument in public. If an argument is developing either avoid it or take it to private messages where it can be solved in a professional manner.

    - Do NOT tag anyone in your application. This includes but is not limited to staff members. If someone wants to look at your application that will do it on their own time without being pinged for it. If you feel the need to ping someone to get attention to your application I suggest you add more detail and work harder on it because odds are good you pinged someone because your application isn’t good enough.

    - Do NOT plagiarize someone else's application. This will result in an immediate denial and you will not be allowed to post another application for 90 days. Stealing someone else's answers is the lowest of low and shows that you cannot be trusted with special privileges.

    - Do NOT bump your application. When the time comes admins or other representatives will look through all applications. Yours being at the top will not better your chances and the amount of likes and comments are not the sole requirement for getting to the interview stage.

    - Do NOT bold your answers. The questions are to be left formated how they are and the answers are to be placed either beside or below depending on the question. No other formatting is required besides occasional bold or colours text to emphasize a specific point but use it sparingly. Use your words to emphasize not colours.

    - Do NOT lie in your application. If found to be lying in your application this will lead to instant denial and will have to wait 60 days before applying again.
