STAFF APPLICATION INFORMATION So you want to be a staff member? Any and all current applicants with posted applications MUST fix their thread to follow the newest format. They must also follow all of the rules. Applicants who fail to do this within a WEEK from March 3rd, will have their application denied. STAFF ACCEPTANCE RATE: HIGH We have introduced a brand new application format. This new format allows us to learn more about you as a person and how you adapt to situations as a staff member. To begin, the first staff position you are applying for is for Trial - Helper. This position is simply just a test run. We learn how you handle problems and deal with other players during this stage of your staff experience. There is no set time frame for your trial. If you're doing a great job, you'll be promoted to the next rank. The following are new mandatory requirements needed before applying for staff: - Must be 12 years of age or older - Must have a minimum of 20 hours of playing time in-game. - Must have a minimum of 15 forum posts. - Must have an active forums account for one month - Must have access to TeamSpeak, Skype & Discord - Must have the ability to use voice communication - Must have a partially clean record (exceptions given) - Must have at least submitted 2 player reports - Must have detailed responses and answers There will be no exceptions given to any of these requirements unless said otherwise by the Admin+ team. These requirements will ensure that only those who are dedicated will make up our team. We cannot afford to have staff being demoted due to acts of immature. The age limit has been set to ensure that they are ready for the challenges they will face as a staff member. As we do accept resignations, we want to reduce the number of staff member that do. Staff ages older than 12+ will have the right amount of maturity and time to be active. The playing time, forum post and player report requirements are also ways we can ensure that you really want this position. APPLICATION GUIDE As you may have recalled, we had an application guide for the current format we have now. Due to a few events, that guide is no longer available and has not been around for many months. We have revised and worked on a new guide for the brand new application format and system. Please read it carefully before applying. It covers tips on how to respond to the questions and as well as further explains many key things. [This will be released within the coming days] STAFF POSITIONS Trial-Helper | This position will be your first step of your staff journey if you pass the application process. Here you will be given a set of punishments and duties to complete. These are obviously lower than what Helpers and Moderators may receive. However, they are commands that still help us to get to know you better. You will assist the new players, punish infractions in chat and be at assistance to anyone who needs it. Any and all admin related duties are to be sent to the Admins immediately. Helper | After a successful run at Trial Helper, you will receive Helper as we deem that you are fit to take on a higher role. Helpers will receive more commands and duties that fit their title. Moderator | This position is given to Helpers that we feel are doing more than their position requires. These staff members go above and beyond to contribute to the community. Moderators receive more privileges and commands to help them combat higher end problems. Officer | This is only given to trusted staff members who have shown that they can handle a position one away from the Admin spot. These staff members dedicate their time to the network no matter what. Officers may help out with Admin duties and occasionally manage the Helpers. APPLICATION PROCESS The process in which applicants will go through after posting their application is as followed: PENDING STAGE: Your application has just been posted and is open for all members of the community to see and vote for. Community members will be able to give you critic and ways to improve your application. This stage is often the longest as we don't need applicants very often. The speed in which applications are replied to, are based on the acceptance rate. REVIEWING STAGE: If we are in high demand of staff members, we will set all of the posted applications to the reviewing stage. This is where the Admins will lock the applications and begin to read them. During this process we will take everything in to account. Your past history such as punishments, forum posts and in-game behavior will be taken into consideration. At this stage, applications will be informed whether they've moved on to the next stage or have been denied. INTERVIEW STAGE: This stage is a simple one on one interview with an Admin. The staff member will give you a set of questions that you must reply back to with an appropriate response. This interview is usually done through Skype, but other forms of communication will be made exceptions. During this interview stage, you can still be denied. If you responses are not complete, we will simply let you know, unfriend you from the staff Skype & deny your application. VOTING STAGE: Once you pass the interviews, your application and name will be sent to the other admins to vote. Admins will further review your application and history, and vote either yes/no. The owner will have veto power over the other admins (meaning he has the biggest deciding factor out of all the others) ACCEPTANCE STAGE: This final stage is where you have successfully passed the staff process. We feel that you have all the necessary qualities that we are looking for in a new addition to the team. You will be informed of your acceptance through the same Skype you do your interview. You will be given information on how to get started. Congratulations to whoever makes it this far. COMMUNITY VOTING To make this easier on our part, we ask that you vote for your fellow community members! Simply follow the information listed below to get started. This voting system is put into place to help us get to know how the applicant interacts with the people around them. We ask that you please keep your votes based on the application, the player's behavior and in-game activity. Do not vote if you just do not like the person. Any ratings of these sort will be removed. - You are free to use any positive ratings. *IMPORTANT* MUST AVOID We cannot stress enough on how it is important to follow all of the rules. We need to know that you're able to follow even the simple staff applications rules before we let you abide by the more strict staff rules. Below is a list of DONT'S to make sure you avoid before submitting your application: - Do NOT add color to your application. It is fine to include a little bit of color that highlights important information. However, we do not want you to colorize the answers and questions completely. - Do NOT include pictures in to your application. Any pictures/videos will be removed. - Do NOT have arguments in the comment section of your application. If a player says that you are unfit, maybe it is for your own good. Instead of fighting at the player for that comment, better yourself. - Do NOT tag a staff member in your application, PM a staff member to read it, or ask them to view it in-game. You will be automatically denied and must wait the 30 day time limit. - NO plagiarism. If we find that an applicant has copied information from another person even on a different server you will be denied and unable to reapply. - Do NOT bump your application for comments. Players will comment on your application at any given time they feel they would like to. Bumping will result in a delete of the post, and your application will go right down to the bottom. - Questions MUST be bold and the answers left in unbold pain text. * - No Lying any and all lies on your application will lead to an instant denial. - Do NOT add tags to your staff application, it only results in a mess on your application.
